1.  adjoining the store property (right in back)
       [except southernmost spot which is Restaurant space]
2.  validated parking (lot behind the store): 
*press button for $2  2-hour parking 
*put $2 in the meter (bills, coin or credit card)  NO CHANGE GIVEN
*wait for 2 receipts
*put large receipt on your dash, 
*bring smaller validation copy to the yarnstore and receive a 
    $2 refund off your purchase.

Enter our lot on south side of Riverside Avenue between Cedar and 
19th Avenues (driveway is between Hard Times Cafe and K-Wok restaurant.  It is a U shaped lot.  Take a right and a right to arrive behind the store.  
BANK  spaces are PAY PARKING evenings [after 5pm] and weekends.
ON WEEKENDS PLEASE SELECT  $2 WEEKEND ALL-DAY RATE AND RECEIVE $2.00 OFF YOUR PURCHASE..

3.  meters are free after 6pm every day and
     on federal holidays.

DIRECTIONS - by bus from downtown minneapolis
  bus #'s have changed.  we have to get info from someone who knows!

DIRECTIONS - by light rail 
1.  Get off at Cedar-Riverside station
2.  Walk east along grey building to 16th Avenue
3.  Walk 1 block north on 16th Avenue, turn right on 6th Street
4.  Go 1 long block (like NYC east-west) to Cedar Avenue, turn left
5.  On Cedar, pass 5th Street and proceed to 405 Cedar - That's us!

DIRECTIONS - how to get here by car
1.  from the south THE WASHINGTON AVENUE RAMP IS
OPEN.  Take 35W north to exit 17C (UofM & 3rd St), stay on the "west bank" ramp, take a right onto Washington Avenue.  curve right (south) at Theater in the Round (becomes Cedar Avenue) proceed 3 lights to Riverside.  [see Associated Bank kiddy corner to your left.  we are next to the bank on cedar], turn left onto Riverside, and turn right into the lot behind the store and bank.  look for YARN DOOR sign.

2.  from the north on 35W: the 4th Street SE exit is OPEN.
Exit to 4th Street, proceed 1 block to University, turn left
take first right onto 10th Avenue Bridge to the west bank.
At Riverside, turn right and take 1st left into our parking lot.

MNDOT also suggests taking 280 to east 94, then you may exit 94 on Cedar Avenue, turn RIGHT, proceed 4 lights to Riverside, turn RIGHT, turn RIGHT again into lot behind store.

when bridge is restored:  from the north, take 35W south toward downtown, take exit 17C, turn left over the bridge, curve right (south) at Theater in the Round (becomes Cedar Avenue) proceed 3 lights to Riverside.  turn left onto Riverside and right into the lot behind the store.

3.  from the west, take 94 east, to left exit for 35W north 1 mile after the Lowry Hill/Walker tunnel and follow direction #1.  **OR take 94 downtown exit to 4th Street and proceed past dome to CEDAR Avenue exit.  Turn RIGHT onto Cedar, make first LEFT onto Riverside, and  a RIGHT into the parking lot. 
**except during home Vikings' games (4th Street is closed at dome)

4.  from the east (from St Paul), take 94 west to Cedar Avenue exit, turn right onto Cedar, proceed 4 lights to Riverside, turn right, turn right again into lot behind store (or find a vigorously regulated parking meter on Cedar before turning onto Riverside).
